James Anderson celebrates after dismissing
Indian all-rounder Ravinra Jadeja on day 3
For almost two whole days bowlers India had worked in an area that seemed docile. In the third, James Anderson showed them how. He ran brilliantly, hitting the ground hard game, swaying and sewing supplies in both directions at the same rate, and short balls whistling past noses. And he did it through the day - first gorilla Anderson was as bad as the last. England batsmen kept firing after they are posted and frustrating for India, before they could assert their openings.

Seven of the top eight batsmen India did on 20. Cinco fell before 40 and Ajinkya Rahane threw away at 54. There were six associations of more than 30, two more than 50, but a high of 74. while the India batsmen were tested constantly, the fact that most of them showed the conditions were far from unplayable. They themselves begin to give part-time offspinner Ali Moeen two wickets, and fervently hope MS Dhoni unbeaten on 50, was deeply bat on the fourth morning with the tail to try to keep their lead 1-0 series disintegrate in Southampton.

England had two wickets away from a first innings lead was reduced to definition Anderson and Broad. His speed makes a world of difference, since the conditions above and below the feet remained virtually the same. Anderson won first ball shot Cheteshwar Pujara their actions, and stabbed in inswingers with a surprising degree of movement. There was serious in its gorillas also heat. A rectangle sharply right-hander, raised and stitched away, forcing M Vijay off his toes in a desperate defense. Chris Woakes stagnates at the other end, with figures of 7-5-10-0 in the first session.

Although India is subjected to a severe test, England were wicketless from the start and the batsmen were scoring quickly. Extensive brought results with a short ball against Pujara, who stumbled out of line, but left her wrists, underestimating the amount of jag on it. The ball brushed his gloves and gave Jos Buttler his first Test dismissal.

Chris Jordan India offered respite. There were five wides and two sumptuous units - Virat Kohli and Vijay past cover to mid off - in his first feature. In his prime, Jordan was economical, and posed little threat. It remained that way.

Broad then struck the blow that won decisively morning for England. He had beaten Vijay for a shot, and the batter was undecided when the next ball landed in a line and similar duration. Vijay started playing and then tried to take his bat away. Too late. Delivery of large held its line and hit the stumps at the inner edge of bat removal of Vijay.

The situation could have worsened India before lunch when Rahane, the 8th, gloved offbreak of Moeen-side Buttler leg, but the referee did not see it.

It was a different game after the break when Anderson and Broad were not bowling. Moeen Rahane drove through covers, Kohli did the same with Woakes, it was not as economical as it had been before. While Anderson treated with caution, Kohli stabbed wide range of Jordan, beating along the cord. Rahane did not score in first 18 balls Anderson to him.

Anderson's reward came later, but his award was Kohli, who was a half forward while half-pushed a shot bested slip. He had left many similar deliveries previously. India were 136 for 4 and Rohit Sharma started shakily, the defense attempted and season the inside edge of his bat. A vanguard of Jordan, as Rohit tried flicking, was about to slip. Rahane, on the other hand, Jordan drilled by four successive legs, and pulled to midwicket boundary Woakes.

The association was fine - had grown to 74 - when Rohit decided to repeat his success during the mid-loft off against Moeen. This time holed Broad and fell on his bat in disappointment. India had made 106 runs in the session, but falling with Rohit minutes tea was a blow.

The Indians saw worse early in the final session. With few chances against the best bowlers, Rahane reason tried to pull Moeen a jump over the edge. He rose up, however, and watched in horror midwicket settled under the catch. Part-time England had outbowled fund specialist spinner Ravindra Jadeja of India, the next man in.

He and Dhoni put on a half-century fighting alliance against the second new ball. Jadeja led to four people wide and dropped a few balls later, a difficult chance in the gully Joe Root. Accused both Anderson and Broad and hit them on the ground, and was also hit several times. Dhoni drove, played and lost, looked and lived. Jadeja not hit plumb in front of a powerful shot from the incessant Anderson.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, most consistent hitter this series India was scoreless in 16 balls, but when he began to get going Spacious put away three times in one point on the border. Broad, however, had the last word, and sliding Bhuvneshwar trapped inside edge and pad, England had won their ninth consecutive outright in this test session.
