ICC has banned English all-rounder Moeen Ali from wearing wrist bands that state political messages and slogans, he's been banned from displaying political messages in the field too.

Moeen Ali was spotted wearing wristbands of 'Save Gaza' and 'Free Palestine' while he was batting against India in the third test on Monday at Rose Bowl.

The Australian match referee David Boon told Moeen Ali, who is a Muslim, not to wear the wristbands again in the field and/or display political messages.

In an official statement released by the ICC, it's stated that while Moeen Ali is free to express his opinion on politics and stand up for such causes off the field, the ICC has to make sure that the politics doesn't get into the game, and so Moeen Ali is not allowed to wear such wristbands again in the Cricket field.

According to the ICC display rules, the players are not allowed to wear clothes or anything that encourages and displays political, religious and racial statements.

The England Cricket Board and the Wales Cricket Board didn't agree with the decision, saying that Moeen Ali was only showing his solidarity with Gaza and Palestine people who are in a one-sided war against Israeli armies, and that he was not committing an offence to the law.
